What do the Frame Measurements mean? On one of the sides you will usually find three measurements printed, the first two separated by a rectangle and then a 3 digit number:

How To Choose A Frame That Fits:
56 is the lens diameter in mm,
16 is the bridge width in mm,
145 is the side/arm length in mm, Also:
On most of our frames at GlassesComplete.com, our “Dispensing Optician” has added two further measurements to give you a clearer idea on the frame dimensions:
Frame Width = total width from one side of the frame to the other in mm. This allows for the head with.
Frame Depth = Distance between top of the frame rim to the bottom rim in mm. This measurement allows me to decide whether the glasses are suitable for bifocals or not!
The above measurements do not have to exactly match your existing frames, however, the closer they are then more comfortable the fit (providing your existing glasses are comfortable for you)
